Manufacturer's description

Mobil Delvac Modern 15W-40 Full Protection is a synthetic-technology, high performance diesel engine oil that helps extend engine life in the most severe on- and off-highway applications while delivering outstanding performance in modern, high-output, low-emission engines equipped with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and aftertreatment systems using Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC). Fully backwards compatible, it also performs excellently in older conventional engines, and it is biodiesel compatible. It provides outstanding protection in the most demanding diesel engines of Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Deutz, Mack, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, MAN, Navistar, Volvo and others, and is recommended for on-highway heavy-duty trucking and off-highway construction, mining, quarrying and agricultural use, as well as high-performance gasoline engines and mixed fleets. Key benefits include superior soot-viscosity control, outstanding thermal and oxidative stability, excellent oil consumption control, strong TBN reserves with stay-in-grade shear stability, excellent low-temperature pumpability, and component compatibility for long gasket, seal and DPF/DOC life. It meets or exceeds API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS, CH-4, SL/SM/SN/SP, JASO DH-2, Caterpillar ECF-3 and ACEA E7/E11, with approvals including Mack EO-N Premium Plus 03, MACK EOS-4.5, RENAULT TRUCKS RLD-3, VOLVO VDS-4.5 and Cummins CES 20081/20086.

Applications

  • Recommended by ExxonMobil for use in: • Heavy Duty Diesel Engines including Euro V/VI Modern Low Emissions Vehicles, Utilizing Technologies such as Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Continuously Regenerating Traps (CRT), Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) • High-performance diesel applications including turbo-charged designs featuring EGR Technology and diesel applications using older, naturally aspirated conventional designs. • On-highway heavy-duty trucking and off-highway including: construction, mining, quarrying, and agriculture. • On-highway applications operating in both high speed/high load and short haul pick-up/delivery. • Off-highway applications operating in severe low speed/heavy load conditions • High performance gasoline engines and mixed fleet operations. • Diesel-powered equipment from American, European and Japanese OEMs
