Jenbacher N Oil 40
Gas engine oil for Jenbacher natural gas engines, approved for Types 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9
SAE 40
Mobil Pegasus 605 Ultra 40 is the latest generation of gas engine oil primarily intended for lubricating modern medium- and high-speed four-cycle engines operating on landfill gas containing contaminants such as hydrogen sulphide, halides or siloxane. Its formulation is carefully balanced to provide extended oil drain intervals, control the formation of carbon and varnish deposits, and deliver very good anti-wear and anti-scuff performance. Mobil Pegasus 605 Ultra 40 (SAE 40) is recommended for engines operating on fuel containing corrosive materials such as Total Organic Halides as Chloride (THCl), as found in landfill or biomass gas, gas engines running on fuel with moderate hydrogen sulfide (H2S) levels, spark-ignited four-cycle gas engines with very low lube oil consumption, medium- and high-speed four-cycle engines fitted with catalytic converters requiring a low-ash oil, and reciprocating compressors running on natural gas containing sulphur or chlorine compounds. The product delivers exceptional oxidation stability, nitration resistance and thermal stability that extend oil life and resist deposit formation, very good anti-wear characteristics that reduce component wear and liner scuffing while providing break-in protection, an extraordinary detergent-dispersant system that protects upper cylinder and valve train components, and optimized TBN and reserve alkalinity that protect valve seats and faces and reduce power loss from detonation. It holds approvals including INNIO Waukesha Engine Landfill Gas Applications, MWM TR 0199-99-2105, multiple INNIO Jenbacher TI 1000-1109 fuel-class approvals (Class B and C), Caterpillar Energy Solutions TR 2105, MAN M 3271-4/-5, and MTU Gas Engines Series 4000 L62FB/L32FB on biogas.
MWM TR 0199-99-2105 — gas engine oil
The MWM — today Caterpillar Energy Solutions — technical requirement for the oils in its own stationary gas engines, with controlled ash to protect the valves.
MAN M 3271-4 — gas engine oil
A MAN level for gas engine oils, with in-house ash and oxidation resistance requirements.
MAN M 3271-5 — gas engine oil
The most recent level in the MAN 3271 series for stationary gas engine oils.
