Mobil Delvac Ultra 5W-30 Fuel Efficient Plus is an ultra high performance advanced synthetic technology diesel engine oil engineered to provide outstanding protection and fuel economy potential in modern, high-performance, low-emission engines used in severe on-highway applications. It is formulated with high-quality base oils that provide excellent low-temperature fluidity, high-temperature viscosity retention and volatility control; the base oils, additive system and lowered film viscosity (HT/HS) together contribute to fuel economy improvement potential, while the advanced additive system helps prolong the life and efficiency of emission reduction systems such as the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). It delivers excellent protection against oil thickening, degradation, high-temperature deposits and sludge build-up, supporting long oil life consistent with OEM-recommended drain intervals and helping prevent ring sticking. It also protects against wear, scuffing, bore polishing and corrosion, offers excellent low-temperature fluidity for reliable cold-climate pumpability and start-up wear protection, and its advanced low-ash componentry helps extend the durability of DPF-equipped exhaust systems, while stay-in-grade shear stability and very low volatility control viscosity breakdown and oil consumption. Specifically designed to meet the latest Volvo, Daimler, Renault and Cummins requirements — including Volvo VDS-5 (D13 Euro 6D engines), Daimler DTFR 15C130 (OM 470/471/473 FE1 engines), and Renault RLD-5 (DTi 13 Step-D engines) — and for trucks and buses requiring API FA-4. As it has not been endorsed by engine builders as backwards compatible, it may not be used in other diesel engines. SAE 5W-30, it also carries approvals including Detroit Fluids Specification 93K223, MACK EOS-5 and Cummins CES 20087, and meets or exceeds API FA-4 and ACEA F01.
