Manufacturer's description

PETRONAS Urania Elite 15W-40 is a premium heavy-duty engine oil formulated with StrongTech™ technology, which forms a uniquely strong fluid film to protect the engine, retain performance and keep trucks running and available for longer periods. It is a low-SAPS oil suitable for Euro IV, Euro V, Euro VI, China VI, Bharat VI and Proconve P8 heavy-duty diesel applications, including modern high-output, low-emission engines fitted with DPF, SCR, DOC and EGR after-treatment systems. It also serves older turbocharged and naturally aspirated diesel engines, on- and off-highway, running on high- or ultra-low-sulphur diesel and biodiesel, as well as CNG vehicles where the listed specifications are recommended. Its enhanced thermal and oxidation stability provides viscosity stability and prevents deposits and sludge, extending engine life; the low-ash additive system protects DPF and DOC systems, while the formulation effectively combats high soot loads and delivers better fluid-film resistance under severe mechanical stress. The oil meets API CK-4, CJ-4, SN and ACEA E11, E7, and holds approvals including Cummins CES 20086, DTFR 15C100 (backward compatible with MB 228.31), Ford WSS-M2C171-F1, Mack EOS-4.5, MAN M3775, MTU Oil Category 2.1, Renault VI RLD-3 and Volvo VDS-4.5. It replaces Urania 3000 LS 15W-40.

Applications

  • This helps to reduce the total cost of ownership. Low SAPS oil, suitable for Euro IV, Euro V Euro VI, China VI, Bharat VI and Proconve-P8 heavy duty diesel applications including modern, high-output, low emission engines fitted with emission control systems using DPF, SCR, DOC and EGR technologies. It is also suitable for older turbocharged and naturally aspirated diesel engine generations, both on-highway and off-highway, running on high or ultra-low Sulphur diesel and biodiesel (the use with high Sulphur fuel would require a shorter drain interval). Suitable for CNG vehicles where specifications listed in this document are recommended. Approved Daimler Truck Fluid Release (DTFR 15C100), fully backward compatible and suitable for use for vehicles recommending the previous Daimler MB 228.31 specification. Fully backward compatible with previous E9-16, E7-16 classifications. PETRONAS Urania Elite 15W-40 replaces Urania 3000 LS 15W-40. Enhance your vehicle’s performance by pairing PETRONAS Urania with PETRONAS Tutela fluids

Performance & benefits

  • Contributes to enhance your vehicle availability through
  • Longer Engine Life driven by enhanced thermal and oxidation stability under high temperature, providing viscosity stability and preventing formation of deposits and sludge to prolong oil life even under severe conditions
  • Outstanding protection for emission after-treatment systems such as DPF and DOC with low ash additive system
  • Effectively combats high concentration of soot build ups, critical to prevent loss of vehicle horsepower
  • Optimal viscosity levels and lubrication during service life, to prevent unplanned breakdowns
  • Better fluid film resistance under severe mechanical stress to deliver enhanced engine durability
