Manufacturer's description

Eni i-Sigma special TMS 10W-40 is a synthetic technology oil for diesel engines fitted with exhaust aftertreatment systems, delivering reduced fuel consumption. The product achieves the longest oil drain intervals prescribed by the engine makers. eni i-Sigma special TMS 10W-40 can also be used in other diesel engines, such as stationary ones, and in the gas engines of heavy vehicles.

Applications

  • Eni i-Sigma special TMS 10W-40 is a synthetic technology lubricant for diesel engines of vehicles equipped with exhaust gas aftertreatment systems operating under severe operating conditions with fuel saving features. This product allows the maximum oil change intervals prescribed by the manufacturers. Eni i-Sigma special TMS 10W-40 can also be used in stationary engines and in gas engines of heavy vehicles.

Performance & benefits

  • Eni i-Sigma special TMS 10W-40 is a low SAPS lubricant (low ash, sulphur and phosphorus) meeting the severe performance levels required for heavy duty applications
  • The product has demonstrated excellent anti-wear properties in the tests required by the Manufacturers and by ACEA, in particular minimizing wear on the cylinders (bore polishing), piston rings, valves, etc. All metallic surfaces are effectively protected against wear and corrosion by ensuring and maintaining the maximum engine efficiency over time, allowing extended change and maintenance intervals, thus also saving fuel

Standards & approvals

  • ACEA E6

    ACEA E6 oil sequence

ACEA's sequence for heavy-duty diesel engines with full exhaust aftertreatment. A low-SAPS level, ash capped to protect the particulate filter, at extended drain intervals. One of ACEA's current sequences.Source

  • ACEA E9

    ACEA E9 oil sequence

ACEA's sequence for heavy-duty diesel engines with a particulate filter. A capped sulphated-ash level, the counterpart of E7 for DPF-equipped engines. One of ACEA's current sequences.Source

  • Cummins CES 20077

Cummins' oil specification for EGR diesel engines with a particulate filter, with capped ash to protect the DPF.

  • Deutz DQC IV-10 LA

Deutz's highest oil quality class, 2010 issue, in its low-ash form: a fully synthetic oil for extended drain intervals.

  • DTFR 15C110

Daimler Truck DTFR 15C110 (formerly MB 228.51) — low-SAPS engine oil, Euro VI

A low-SAPS oil for high-performance diesel engines with aftertreatment, with severe piston cleanliness and wear protection requirements. The usual Euro VI level. Daimler Truck renumbered the MB-Approval sheets into the DTFR series; MB 228.51 and DTFR 15C110 are the same requirement.Source

  • MTU Type 3.1

MTU Oil Category 3.1 (low SAPS)

MTU's highest category in its low-SAPS form: a multigrade oil with under 1 % ash, approved only where the fuel carries less than 50 mg/kg sulphur. For engines with exhaust aftertreatment.

  • Renault VI RLD-2

Renault Trucks RLD-2 — heavy-duty diesel engine oil

Renault Trucks' specification for extended-drain truck engine oils at the ACEA E7 level, without a low-ash requirement.
