Eni i-Sigma special TMS 10W-40
Synthetic oil for diesel engines with exhaust aftertreatment systems
SAE 10W-40
Eni i-Sigma top MS 10W-40 is a high performance synthetic lubricant with fuel economy characteristics. It is recommended for diesel engines operating under severe conditions with extended drain intervals, fitted to vehicles equipped with exhaust aftertreatment systems. It can also be used in stationary diesel engines and in vehicle-mounted engines running on natural gas.

ACEA E11 — heavy-duty diesel, low SAPS, extended drain
An ACEA sequence for Euro VI and later heavy-duty diesel engines fitted with DPF and SCR. It requires low-SAPS additive chemistry (reduced sulphur, ash and phosphorus) and the oxidation resistance needed for extended drain intervals.
ACEA E6 oil sequence
ACEA's sequence for heavy-duty diesel engines with full exhaust aftertreatment. A low-SAPS level, ash capped to protect the particulate filter, at extended drain intervals. One of ACEA's current sequences.Source
ACEA E9 oil sequence
ACEA's sequence for heavy-duty diesel engines with a particulate filter. A capped sulphated-ash level, the counterpart of E7 for DPF-equipped engines. One of ACEA's current sequences.Source
Diesel engine oil, API CK-4 performance level
API's service category for compression-ignition engines. Current category.Source
Caterpillar's current engine crankcase fluid category, with capped sulphated ash, for CAT engines fitted with a particulate filter.
Cummins' specification for low-viscosity oils (API FA-4 level) that cut fuel consumption in the heavy-duty diesel engines designed for them.
Detroit Fluids Specification 93K222
Detroit Diesel's current heavy-duty diesel engine oil specification, matching the API CK-4 level, with increased oxidation stability and aeration requirements.
JASO DH-2 — diesel engine oil
The Japanese standard for heavy-duty diesel engine oils in DPF-equipped engines, with sulphated ash capped so the filter does not clog.
Deutz DQC IV-18 LA (low ash)
The 2018 issue of Deutz class IV with low ash — Deutz's top level for engines with full exhaust aftertreatment.
Daimler Truck DTFR 15C110 (formerly MB 228.51) — low-SAPS engine oil, Euro VI
A low-SAPS oil for high-performance diesel engines with aftertreatment, with severe piston cleanliness and wear protection requirements. The usual Euro VI level. Daimler Truck renumbered the MB-Approval sheets into the DTFR series; MB 228.51 and DTFR 15C110 are the same requirement.Source
Daimler Truck DTFR 15C120 (formerly MB 228.52) — low-SAPS engine oil, extended drain
A low-SAPS level above 228.51, with tighter oxidation requirements, for longer drain intervals. Daimler Truck renumbered the MB-Approval sheets into the DTFR series; MB 228.52 and DTFR 15C120 are the same requirement.Source
Mack EOS-4.5 — heavy-duty diesel engine oil
Mack's engine oil specification matching the API CK-4 level, for Mack and Volvo trucks with exhaust aftertreatment.
MAN M 3775 — low-SAPS, low-viscosity oil
MAN's specification for low-SAPS, low-viscosity oils delivering fuel economy on Euro VI engines.
MTU Oil Category 3.1 (low SAPS)
MTU's highest category in its low-SAPS form: a multigrade oil with under 1 % ash, approved only where the fuel carries less than 50 mg/kg sulphur. For engines with exhaust aftertreatment.
Renault Trucks RLD-3, approved
The Renault Trucks RLD-3 low-SAPS specification, held as a registered approval in the product's own name rather than merely claimed as a performance level.
Volvo's specification matching the API CK-4 level, with increased oxidation stability and aeration resistance over VDS-4.
