Manufacturer's description

Divinol GL 5 80W-90 is a multigrade hypoid gear oil for heavy-duty conditions. In addition to excellent extreme-pressure (EP) properties, its optimised viscosity adjustment minimises friction in the gear set. The oil can also be deployed in final drives without differential and is suitable for normal oil change intervals. Key benefits are very good corrosion protection, favourable viscosity-temperature behaviour, optimum load-carrying capacity and top anti-wear properties. Good resistance to ageing keeps the oil in specification throughout the drain interval, and background gear noise is minimised. It is intended for hypoid transmissions requiring API GL-5 performance where an SAE 80W-90 grade is specified. Divinol GL 5 80W-90 meets API GL-5 and MIL-L-2105 D. The manufacturer states performance in line with MAN 342 M1, MB 235.0, Renault GL-5, Voith 3.325-339, Volvo 97310 / 97316 and ZF TE-ML 07A, 08, 16B/C/D, 17B, 19B, 21A, all of which are also listed by Divinol Romania.

Applications

  • Suitable for use in hypoid transmissions according to API GL-5, where SAE 80W90 is required.

Performance & benefits

  • Multgrade hypoid gear oil for heavy duty conditions. Divinol GL 5 80W90 can be deployed in final drives without differential. In addition to excellent EP properties Divinol GL 5 80W90 minimizes friction through optimum viscosity adjustment. Benefits
  • Very good corrosion protection
  • viscosity-temperature behavior
  • optimum load carrying capacity
  • top anti-wear properties
  • good resistance to aging
  • background noise is minimized
  • also suitable for normal oil change intervals
