Mobil Agri Super 15W-40
Multi-functional STOU oil for farm engines, transmissions, hydraulics and wet brakes
SAE 15W-40
Mobil Delvac Legend 15W-40 Agri Universal is a high-performance, multi-functional (STOU-type) lubricant for most farm equipment applications, providing good performance in diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, hydraulics, final drives and oil-immersed brakes operating in agricultural service. It is recommended for a wide range of heavy-duty applications and operating environments found in the farming industry. As a multi-purpose product, it reduces the number of lubricants an agricultural operation needs to stock, cutting inventory and the risk of misapplication. Key benefits include good thermal and oxidation stability that reduces sludge build-up and high-temperature deposits, TBN reserves for improved deposit control, good rust and corrosion protection especially in hydraulic components, effective detergency/dispersancy for cleaner engines, high-temperature viscosity retention and volatility control that reduce scuffing and oil consumption, unique frictional and load-carrying properties that eliminate wet-brake chatter, and low-temperature pumpability for easier start-up. The product is recommended for applications requiring Massey Ferguson CMS M1144, Allison C-4 (agriculture applications only), Caterpillar TO-2, and API CF/CF-4/GL-4/SF. It is an SAE 15W-40 grade with viscosity index 141, TBN 12 mgKOH/g and pour point -40°C.
Massey Ferguson CMS M1144 — tractor fluid
A series of Massey Ferguson works standards for the fluids in its own tractors; the M11xx numbers separate engine oil, the universal transmission-hydraulic-brake fluid and axle oil.
Caterpillar TO-2 — transmissions and wet brakes (superseded)
Caterpillar's specification for transmission, clutch and wet-brake oils in off-highway equipment. Superseded by TO-4 but still quoted on universal off-highway oils.
Diesel engine oil, API CF performance level
API's service category for indirect-injection diesel engines, tolerant of higher-sulphur fuel. An earlier category in the API service classification, written for the engines of its era; it still appears on datasheets alongside the current categories.Source
Diesel engine oil, API CF-4 performance level
API's service category for high-speed four-stroke diesel engines, of the generation preceding the emissions standards. An earlier category in the API service classification, written for the engines of its era; it still appears on datasheets alongside the current categories.Source
Gear oil, API GL-4 service level
API's service designation for axle and manual transmission oils.
Petrol engine oil, API SF performance level
API's service category for spark-ignition engines, of around 1980. An earlier category in the API service classification, written for the engines of its era; it still appears on datasheets alongside the current categories.Source
