PETRONAS Syntium 7000 AV 0W-20 is a fully synthetic lubricant formulated with °CoolTech+™, at the cutting edge of PETRONAS fluid technology. Its enhanced heat-controlling ability protects the engine and maximizes its efficiency and power output, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. It provides outstanding fuel economy and meets the demanding requirements of modern, high-performance passenger cars, formulated with environmentally friendly low-SAPS technology for maximum compatibility with exhaust gas after-treatment systems throughout the vehicle's life. PETRONAS Syntium 7000 AV 0W-20 is especially designed for passenger cars, SUVs and vans using direct-injection turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines such as Volkswagen or Porsche, also suitable for biofuel-running vehicles fitted with diesel particulate filters, catalytic converters, fuel injectors, multi-valves or turbochargers operating under severe conditions. Benefits include ultimate heat management to protect the engine and provide optimum lubrication at extremely low temperatures, ultimate protection against oil thickening from biodiesel-accelerated oxidation, ultimate resistance to sludge formation, ultimate lubrication capability against abnormal wear in the valvetrain and cylinder wall, ultimate control of damaging heat to prevent turbocharger and piston deposits, and ultimate piston cleanliness that extends engine life and maximizes power output and fuel efficiency. The oil meets the API SN+ specification and the ACEA C5 performance level, and carries VW 508.00/509.00 and Porsche C20 approvals. Typical physical characteristics include a density of 0.843 g/cm³ at 15°C, a kinematic viscosity of 8.129 cSt at 100°C, a viscosity index of 177, a flash point of 224°C, a sulphated ash content of 0.8%, a TBN of 9.8 mgKOH/g, CCS of 5366 mPa·s at -35°C and a pour point of -45°C.
