Manufacturer's description

PETRONAS Urania 500 SAE 30 is a monograde diesel engine oil formulated for commercial-vehicle diesel engines where API CF is recommended, helping to control wear and corrosion. It is suitable for all types of older commercial-vehicle diesel applications and for high-revolution turbocharged diesel engines, both on-highway and off-highway. It is also suitable for use in transmissions, differentials or final drives of equipment where an API CD / CAT TO-2 fluid is required. The oil delivers piston cleanliness and minimises deposit build-up to protect the engine from wear, helps disperse soot and so reduces soot-induced oil thickening, and offers good TBN retention that effectively neutralises the acidic by-products of combustion. It meets the API CF specification, with a typical kinematic viscosity of 11.8 mm²/s at 100 °C and a TBN of 6 mgKOH/g. Always consult the owner's manual to check the recommended viscosity grade and specifications for your specific vehicle.

  • API CF

Diesel engine oil, API CF performance level

API's service category for indirect-injection diesel engines, tolerant of higher-sulphur fuel. An earlier category in the API service classification, written for the engines of its era; it still appears on datasheets alongside the current categories.Source
