Syntium 5000 XS 5W-30 SN
Fully synthetic oil for Mercedes-Benz and GM cars with after-treatment, ACEA C3, dexos2
SAE 5W-30
PETRONAS Syntium 5000 DM 5W-30 is a fully synthetic lubricant formulated with °CoolTech™ to fight excessive engine heat. °CoolTech™ targets the critical heat zones inside the engine to effectively absorb and transfer excessive heat, defending critical components from damage and loss of performance. It uses environmentally friendly lubricant technology suited to maintaining the efficiency of exhaust gas after-treatment systems and fuel economy, and is especially designed for passenger cars using direct-injection turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW, also suitable for SUVs, light vans and biofuel-running vehicles fitted with diesel particulate filters, catalytic converters, fuel injectors, multi-valves or turbochargers operating under severe conditions. Benefits include outstanding protection against premature wear of engine parts, outstanding sludge prevention capability for gasoline applications, outstanding resistance to high-temperature oxidation and oil thickening, exceptional protection for after-treatment exhaust systems, and superior fuel economy performance. The oil meets the API SN specification and the ACEA C2 and C3 performance levels, and carries GM Dexos 2, VW 505.00/505.01, MB 229.52, MB 229.51 approvals and BMW Longlife-04 performance. Typical physical characteristics include a density of 0.853 g/cm³ at 15°C, a kinematic viscosity of 11.8 cSt at 100°C, a viscosity index of 172, a flash point of 222°C, a sulphated ash content of 0.8%, a TBN of 7.9 mgKOH/g, CCS of 5600 mPa·s at -30°C and a pour point of -45°C.

VW 505 00 / 505 01 — diesel engine oil
VW's passenger-car diesel standards: 505 00 for ordinary engines, 505 01 for unit-injector engines, which demand a stronger antiwear package.
Mercedes-Benz approval 229.52
A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).
Mercedes-Benz approval 229.51
A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).
BMW's approval for low-SAPS oils in engines with a particulate filter and sensitive catalysts. It protects the aftertreatment system across long drain intervals.
