Manufacturer's description

Mobil Delvac MX Extra 10W-40 is a heavy-duty engine oil with synthetic technology that provides excellent lubrication of today's diesel and gasoline engines operating in severe applications, keeping engines clean and promoting long engine life. ExxonMobil recommends it for European, Japanese and American engines, engineered with a blend of advanced-technology base stocks and additives to provide a strong foundation for oxidation resistance, soot handling and wear control, supplemented with excellent piston deposit protection and reduced sludge formation. Its multigrade viscosity characteristics provide excellent cold cranking and oil pumpability at low temperatures. ExxonMobil recommends it for naturally aspirated and turbo-charged diesel engines from European, Japanese and American manufacturers, on-highway light and heavy-duty trucking including mixed fleets with gasoline engines and cars, and off-highway mining, construction, quarrying and agriculture. Key benefits include increased thermal and oxidation stability that reduces sludge build-up and deposits, enhanced wear and corrosion protection that reduces bearing wear and supports long drain intervals, and enhanced low-temperature pumpability for faster start-up with reduced wear in cold climates. The product carries approvals from Cummins (CES 20076/20077/20078), Renault Trucks (RLD-2), Volvo (VDS-3), Mack (EO-M Plus, EO-N), MTU (Oil Category 2) and DAF (DTFR 15B110), is recommended for ACEA A2, API CF/CF-4/CG-4, Cummins CES 20071/20072, Detroit 7SE 270, Renault Trucks RLD and Volvo VDS-2, and meets or exceeds API CH-4/CI-4/SJ/SL, Caterpillar ECF-2 and ACEA E7. It is an SAE 10W-40 grade with viscosity index 154, TBN 11.1 mgKOH/g and pour point -36°C.

Applications
