Manufacturer's description

Mobil 1 x1 5W-30 is an advanced-performance full-synthetic engine oil from Mobil 1, the world's leading synthetic engine oil brand. It is formulated with a proprietary blend of high-performance synthetic base stocks and a precisely balanced additive system, designed to meet or exceed the demanding ILSAC GF-7 and API SQ Resource Conserving standards while helping the engine run like new. The oil is recommended for many modern passenger car, SUV and light van engines, including high-performance turbocharged and supercharged gasoline and diesel multi-valve fuel-injected units. It is appropriate for Ford, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Japanese and Korean vehicles specifying an SAE 5W-30 viscosity grade, and is especially suitable for extreme operating conditions where conventional oils may not perform as well. It is not recommended for 2-cycle or aviation engines unless specifically approved by the manufacturer. Key benefits include excellent lubrication and wear protection, LSPI and timing-chain wear protection under ILSAC GF-6/API SP, protection for exhaust after-treatment systems such as particulate filters (GPF, DPF) and catalytic converters, and extended turbocharger and engine life through deposit and sludge control. The product carries GM dexos1:GEN3 licensing and VW VWC 53034 approval, and meets or exceeds numerous Ford, GM, FIAT, Chrysler, ACEA and API specifications including ACEA C2, ACEA A5/B5, API SP and API SQ Resource Conserving.

Applications

  • Mobil 1 x1 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic Engine Oil is recommended for many types of modern engines found in passenger cars, SUVs, and light vans, including high-performance turbo-charged, supercharged gasoline and Diesel multi-valve fuel injected engines. It is appropriate for Ford, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Japanese and Korean vehicles where a SAE 5W-30 viscosity grade and any of its service classifications or builder approvals are recommended. • Mobil 1 x1 5W-30 is especially suitable for extreme conditions where conventional oil often may not perform. • Mobil 1 x1 5W-30 is not recommended for 2-Cycle or aviation engines, unless specifically approved by the manufacturer. Always consult your owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommendations.

Performance & benefits

  • Mobil 1 x1 5W-30 advanced performance synthetic engine oil is made with a proprietary blend of high performance synthetic basestocks fortified with a precisely balanced component system. The 5W-30 viscosity grade is a recommended viscosity grade for many new cars. Mobil 1 x1 5W-30 is uniquely designed to help provide unsurpassed levels of performance, cleaning power and engine protection, while meeting the demanding ILSAC GF-7 performance standards. • Excellent overall lubrication and wear protection performance for many driving styles • Meets ILSAC GF-6 and API SP standards to help provide low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) and timing chain wear protection while keeping your engine clean and helping to maintain your fuel economy • Helps protect exhaust gas after-treatment systems, including Particle Filters (GPF, DPF) and Catalytic Converters (CAT) designed to limit engine emissions • Helps extend turbocharger and engine life by working to prevent damaging deposits and sludge buildup • Provides excellent internal engine heat protection and low temperature protection

Standards & approvals

  • GM dexos1:GEN3 Licensed

    GM dexos1 Gen 3, licensed

GM's current petrol engine oil specification, third generation: protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI), turbocharger cleanliness and fuel economy. "Licensed" means the product carries the registered dexos mark.

  • Ford WSS-M2C946-A

    Ford WSS-M2C946-A — engine oil

A Ford passenger-car engine oil specification adding in-house fuel economy requirements to the ACEA level.

  • GM 6094M

GM 6094M — engine oil (obsolete)

GM's old passenger-car engine oil specification, withdrawn once the modern API categories and the dexos specifications arrived.

  • FIAT 9.55535-CR1

    Fiat 9.55535-CR1 — engine oil

A fluid specification from the Fiat Chrysler — today Stellantis — 9.55535 / 955535 series; the letter-and-digit suffix identifies the performance level and viscosity grade.
