Petronas Syntium 3000 E 5W-40
Fully synthetic oil for direct-injection turbo engines, ACEA A3/B4, MB 229.5
SAE 5W-40
Divinol Syntholight 5W-40 (Art-Nr. 49520) is a smooth-running engine oil based on the most modern HC-synthesis technology. It guarantees excellent running properties, low wear and measurable fuel savings through reduced friction, together with fine cold-starting performance thanks to its 5W grade. The oil shows high resistance to oxidation, and its well-balanced additive system prevents sludge formation, keeping the engine clean over the service interval. It is designed for spark-ignition (petrol) and diesel engines in passenger cars, with or without turbocharger. Divinol Syntholight 5W-40 holds the MB-Approval 229.3, meets API SN/CF and ACEA A3/B4, and fulfils the performance requirements of BMW Longlife-01, MB-Approval 229.1, Porsche A40, PSA B71 2294/2296, Renault RN 0700/0710, VW 502.00/505.00, FIAT 9.55535 N2 and GM-LL-B-025. The Romanian distributor additionally lists GM-LL-A-025.
Petrol engine oil, API SN performance level
API's service category for spark-ignition engines. Current category.Source
Diesel engine oil, API CF performance level
API's service category for indirect-injection diesel engines, tolerant of higher-sulphur fuel. An earlier category in the API service classification, written for the engines of its era; it still appears on datasheets alongside the current categories.Source
ACEA A3/B4 oil sequence
ACEA's sequence for petrol and light-duty diesel engines.Source
Mercedes-Benz approval 229.3
A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).
Porsche's engine oil approval for petrol models without a particulate filter: a full-SAPS level with severe protection requirements at high speed and temperature.
Renault RN0700 and RN0710
Renault's two engine oil approvals quoted together: RN0700 for petrol and non-DPF diesel, RN0710 for diesel engines including those with a particulate filter.
VW 502 00 / 505 00 — petrol and diesel engine oil
VW's two standards quoted together: 502 00 for petrol engines and 505 00 for diesels without a particulate filter. Full-SAPS, fixed drain interval.
GM LL-A-025 — longlife petrol engine oil
The Opel/GM Europe specification for extended-drain oils in petrol engines. In practice superseded by dexos2.
GM LL-B-025 — longlife diesel engine oil
The Opel/GM Europe specification for extended-drain oils in passenger-car diesel engines. In practice superseded by dexos2.
BMW's approval for extended-drain engine oils in petrol and diesel engines without a particulate filter. A full-SAPS level built on ACEA A3/B4.
PSA B71 2296 — engine oil
The PSA (Peugeot–Citroën, today Stellantis) engine oil approval for its own passenger cars, with particulate filter compatibility and wear protection requirements.
