High-quality industrial oil for gas and steam turbines. Shell Turbo T oils have long been regarded as the industry-standard turbine oils. Building on this reputation, Shell Turbo T oils have been developed to deliver improved performance capable of meeting the requirements of the most modern steam turbine and light gas turbine systems that do not require improved anti-wear performance for the gearbox. Shell Turbo T oils are formulated from high-quality hydrotreated base oils and a combination of zinc-free additives, which deliver excellent oxidative stability, protection against rust and corrosion, reduced foaming and excellent demulsibility.

Applications

• Shell Turbo T oils are available in ISO viscosity grades 32, 46, 68 and 100, suitable for applications in the following areas: industrial steam turbines and light gas turbines that do not require improved anti-wear performance for the gearbox
• Numerous applications where outstanding control of corrosion and oxidation is required
• Dynamic, centrifugal and axial turbocompressors and pumps where R&O type turbine oils are recommended
• For special applications such as compressors for ammonia or high-sulphur gases with wet gas seals, please contact your technical representative.
