Mobilgard 300 C
System oil for two-stroke crosshead marine diesel engines with oil-cooled pistons
SAE 30
Mobilgard M30 Series (M330 and M430) are premium, extra high performance 30 TBN engine oils designed for the most severe residual-fuelled medium-speed diesel applications in marine and stationary power industries. Formulated with high performance additive detergent technology, these trunk piston engine oils provide outstanding residual fuel compatibility for excellent engine cleanliness, especially in the crankcase, camshaft areas, ring belt and piston undercrowns, along with excellent high-temperature oxidation and thermal stability, low volatility, high load-carrying properties and corrosion protection. The series suits most medium-speed trunk piston engine applications, including main propulsion and auxiliary engines on deep-sea vessels, main propulsion engines on coastal and river ships, and stationary power plants, developed through ExxonMobil's patented DAC (Detecting Asphaltene Contamination) Test. Its relatively high alkalinity reserves provide excellent neutralisation of the strong acids resulting from high sulphur fuels that reach the crankcase, protecting against oil degradation and ring, cylinder and bearing corrosion, particularly benefiting engines with low crankcase oil consumption or low cylinder liner temperatures. Mobilgard M30 Series oils offer high performance thermal and oxidation stability, excellent TBN retention and resistance to viscosity increase over long operating periods, a high level of engine cleanliness and wear protection, and excellent lube/fuel compatibility with easy separation from water. Available grades are SAE 30 (M330) and SAE 40 (M430).
