Petronas Syntium 5000 RN17 5W-30
Fully synthetic oil for Renault engines with after-treatment, ACEA C3, Renault RN17
SAE 5W-30
PETRONAS Syntium 5000 CP 5W-30 is a fully synthetic lubricant formulated with °CoolTech™ technology that effectively controls damaging heat, resists oxidation and prevents oil degradation and deposit build-up, protecting parts and maintaining engine efficiency for the full drain interval. It uses environmentally friendly lubricant technology suited to maintaining the high efficiency of exhaust gas after-treatment systems and fuel economy, and is especially designed for passenger cars using direct-injection turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines such as Peugeot and Citroën, also suitable for SUVs, light vans and biofuel-running vehicles fitted with diesel particulate filters, catalytic converters, fuel injectors, multi-valves or turbochargers operating under severe conditions. Benefits include outstanding protection against oil thickening from biodiesel-accelerated oxidation, outstanding resistance to sludge formation, outstanding lubrication capability against abnormal wear in the valvetrain and cylinder wall, outstanding control of damaging heat to prevent turbocharger and piston deposits, and outstanding piston cleanliness that extends engine life and maximizes power output and fuel efficiency. The oil meets the API SQ specification and the ACEA C2 and C3 performance levels, and carries PSA B71 2290 (technical validation completed, submitted to the OEM for approval), Renault RN17 and MB approvals 226.52, 229.51 and 229.52, plus FCA performance level 955535-S1 and Renault RN0700/0710 performance level. Typical physical characteristics include a density of 0.8507 g/cm³ at 15°C, a kinematic viscosity of 11.90 cSt at 100°C, a viscosity index of 172, a flash point of 238°C, a sulphated ash content of 0.65%, a TBN of 6 mgKOH/g, CCS of 5513 mPa·s at -30°C and a pour point of -39°C.

PSA B71 2290 — engine oil
The PSA (Peugeot–Citroën, today Stellantis) engine oil approval for its own passenger cars, with particulate filter compatibility and wear protection requirements.
Renault RN17 — new-generation engine oil
The Renault approval introduced in 2017 for low-viscosity oils in its modern engines, with fuel economy and DPF protection requirements.
Mercedes-Benz approval 226.52
A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).
Mercedes-Benz approval 229.51
A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).
Mercedes-Benz approval 229.52
A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).
FCA 9.55535-S1 — engine oil
A fluid specification from the Fiat Chrysler — today Stellantis — 9.55535 / 955535 series; the letter-and-digit suffix identifies the performance level and viscosity grade.
Renault RN0700 and RN0710
Renault's two engine oil approvals quoted together: RN0700 for petrol and non-DPF diesel, RN0710 for diesel engines including those with a particulate filter.
