Fully synthetic motor oil - Shell's most advanced formulation for high performance engines Shell Helix Ultra ECT features its most advanced emissions-compatible technology that helps to keep gasoline and diesel particulate filters clean to help maintain engine performance. It helps to reduce engine friction to provide enhanced fuel economy.
Applications
Shell Helix Ultra ECT's fully synthetic formulation uses Shell's most advanced emissions-compatible technology to help gasoline engine exhaust catalysts and keep diesel particulate filters clean and protect it from ash build-up that can block the exhaust system and lead to reduced engine performance.
It is suitable for direct injection turbocharged gasoline engines where protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) is required.
Performance & benefits
Shell's ultimate active cleaning technologyHelps to protect high-performance engines from power and performance-robbing deposits.
Low viscosity and low frictionProvides up to 4.0% greater fuel economy. 1
Helps to extend engine life by protecting surfaces from wear and by helping to neutralise combustion acids. On average 51% better wear protection and up to 58% better corrosion protection than API SP limits 2. Low-evaporation formulation 3
Low oil consumption for less frequent top-up. Shell Helix Ultra ECT C6 0W-20 with PurePlus Technology provides exceptional sludge control and excellent turbocharger protection. 4
Protects against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in direct injection turbocharged gasoline engines. 5
Multi-fuel capabilityCan be used for gasoline, diesel and gas engines, and is also suitable for biodiesel and gasoline/ethanol blends. 1 Based on API Sequence VIE engine test result compared with the industry reference oil. 2 Based on API Sequence IVB engine and VIII test results compared with API SP specification. 3 Base in NOACK volatility test and equipment manufacturers' requirements. 4 Based on ACEA M271EVO, Toyota 1KD-FTV and EP6CDT engine test results compared with ACEA C6 specification. 5 Based on Sequence IX LSPI test compared with ACEA C6 specification.
