Manufacturer's description

Exceptional engine cleanliness in all traffic conditions, refreshing and protecting the vehicle. Shell Helix HX7 C is made from special base oils that thicken less than mineral oils, which makes engine starting easier. Shell Helix HX7 C also features a special active cleansing technology. It protects the engine strongly compared with conventional engine oils, continuously preventing the formation of engine deposits. For improved responsiveness, right up to the next oil change.

Applications

  • Suitable for fuel-injected gasoline engines fitted with blow-by gas recirculation and catalytic converters.
  • It is also suitable for turbocharged and intercooled direct-injection diesel engines fitted with blow-by gas recirculation, without particulate filters.

Performance & benefits

  • Formulated with special base oilsThickens less than conventional oils, making engine starting easier in low-temperature conditions.
  • Special active cleansing technologyTwice as effective at removing deposits from dirty engines as a mineral oil.
  • Improved oxidation stabilityUp to 19% more protection than other leading brands tested, achieved through synthetic technologies.
  • Low viscosity, rapid oil flow and reduced frictionImproved fuel efficiency compared with higher-viscosity oils, and easier starting at low temperatures.
  • High shear stabilityMaintains viscosity and viscosity grade throughout the oil drain interval.
  • Specially selected synthetic base oilsReduce oil volatility and therefore oil consumption. The need to top up with oil is consequently reduced.
  • Minimises engine vibration and noiseA more comfortable and quieter drive.
