Mobil 1 FS 5W-40
Synthetic oil for engines without particulate filters, suited to higher-mileage vehicles
SAE 5W-40
Mobil Super 3000 X1 5W-40 is a fully synthetic engine oil that provides long engine life for many types and ages of vehicles, with enhanced protection over a wide temperature range. As part of the industry-proven Mobil Super 3000 range, it is formulated to deliver confidence beyond that of conventional or semi-synthetic oils. The oil is suited to passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks and vans powered by gasoline or diesel engines without diesel particulate filters (DPF), including high-performance turbocharged, direct-injection engines. It is recommended for regular use under demanding conditions such as highway cruising and stop-and-go city driving, and for normal to frequently severe operating conditions. Key benefits include enhanced high-temperature protection, enhanced cold start-up protection, enhanced engine cleanliness and sludge prevention, and enhanced wear protection. The product holds approvals from Porsche A40, Renault RN0700 and RN0710, VW 502 00 and 505 00, and MB-Approval 229.3, and meets or exceeds ACEA A3/B4 and API SL/SM/SN/SQ requirements.
Porsche's engine oil approval for petrol models without a particulate filter: a full-SAPS level with severe protection requirements at high speed and temperature.
Renault RN0700 — passenger-car engine oil
Renault's engine oil approval for petrol cars and for diesel engines without a particulate filter.
Renault RN0710 — engine oil for DPF diesels
Renault's oil approval for passenger-car diesel engines, including those with a particulate filter, with in-house wear protection requirements.
VW 502 00 — petrol engine oil
VW's standard for petrol engine oils on a fixed drain interval, at full-SAPS level. Not for engines with a particulate filter.
VW 505 00 — diesel engine oil
VW's standard for passenger-car diesel engine oils without unit-injector injection, on a fixed drain interval.
Mercedes-Benz approval 229.3
A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).
Diesel engine oil, API CF performance level
API's service category for indirect-injection diesel engines, tolerant of higher-sulphur fuel. An earlier category in the API service classification, written for the engines of its era; it still appears on datasheets alongside the current categories.Source
