CAT DEO ULS 10W-30
API CK-4 heavy-duty diesel engine oil for engines with aftertreatment, backward compatible
SAE 10W-30
Cat DEO-ULS (Ultra Low Sulfur) SAE 15W-40 is a premium API CK-4 heavy-duty diesel engine oil, uniquely formulated and optimized to provide the highest level of protection and performance across a wide range of engine applications, including those requiring aftertreatment systems. It exceeds API CK-4 performance requirements, is backward compatible with prior API oil categories (CJ-4, CI-4, CI-4 PLUS and CH-4), and can be used in all engines requiring API CK-4 or a prior API diesel engine oil category (consult the OMM). Improved oxidation and thermal stability minimize engine deposits and maintain consistent protection through the drain interval; reduced aeration improves protection against oil breakdown, cavitation and corrosion; improved shear properties maintain viscosity under high loads; and specially designed additives with a superior base stock deliver longer engine protection and durability while supporting consistent emissions performance. Typical 15W-40 characteristics include flash point 225°C, pour point -33°C, kinematic viscosity 109 cSt at 40°C and 14.1 cSt at 100°C, HTHS at 150°C of 4.1 cP, viscosity index 130, phosphorous 0.10% wt., sulfur 0.24% wt., zinc 0.12% wt., sulfated ash 0.90% wt., TBN 8.6 and density 0.875 @ 15.6°C. Cat DEO-ULS exceeds Cat ECF-3, ECF-2 and ECF-1A performance levels, and may be used where ACEA E9, Detroit Diesel DFS 93K222, Cummins CES 20086 or Volvo Mack VDS STD 417-003 is required. It meets requirements for engines with aftertreatment devices needing API CK-4 or CJ-4 oil, including Tier 4 (US), Stage IIIB/IV (EU), 2007/2010 on-highway US exhaust emissions standards and Japan 2014. Distributed in Romania by Bergerat Monnoyeur.
