Manufacturer's description

Mobil DTE PM Series products are high-quality, high-performance lubricants specifically designed for demanding industrial paper machine circulating systems, engineered to provide exceptional lubrication while protecting system components from rust and corrosion — particularly important in the wet end, where water and chemical contaminants can enter the lubrication system. Formulated with select high-quality base oils and a proprietary advanced-technology additive system, the series is balanced to provide maximum protection of gears and bearings operating under severe conditions. Available in ISO VG 100, 150, 220 and 320 grades, DTE PM Series oils offer good viscosity characteristics that reduce start-up-to-production time while maintaining excellent viscosity at high temperatures. They provide excellent resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation, exceptional rust and corrosion protection, and a high level of anti-wear performance, permitting the high steam pressures, temperatures and machine speeds common in high-output paper machines. Outstanding demulsibility and filterability assure reliable performance in the presence of water, with the ability to retain effective filtration even at very fine levels, ready water separation, and long-term colour stability. Key benefits include exceptional wear protection, outstanding oxidation and thermal stability, effective water separation, good anti-fatigue performance that reduces bearing and gear failures, and excellent filterability that improves oil flow and cooling performance while lowering filter replacement costs.

Applications

  • • Lubrication of industrial paper machine circulating systems • Application involving circulation systems operating over a wide temperature range • Systems that must be started and brought on line quickly • Circulation systems' lubricating gears and bearings
