Manufacturer's description

Divinol Getriebeöl ST 80W-90 (also designated STO 80W-90) is a transmission and hypoid gear oil with the most modern additive technology, designed for drive axles and synchronised or non-synchronised manual transmissions in commercial vehicles and working machines. It is formulated for extended oil change intervals of up to 180,000 km and can be deployed in truck drive axles at the maximum oil drain intervals. The oil provides excellent wear protection, high oxidation and thermal stability and good compatibility with common seal materials. Its viscosity remains stable at high temperatures while it still flows excellently at low temperatures, and the formulation allows for fuel savings. Divinol Getriebeöl ST 80W-90 meets API GL-4/5, SAE J 2360 (API MT-1, PRI GL 0208), MIL-PRF-2105 E and MIL-L-2105 D, and holds the Scania STO 1:0 approval. The manufacturer states performance in line with Iveco 18-1805, MAN 341 Z2 / 341 E2 / 342 M2, MB 235.0 and 235.1, DAF (GL-5), Mack GO-J, ZF TE-ML 02B/05A/07A/08/12L/12M/16B/16C/16D/17B/19B/21A and Arvin Meritor 0-76-N, all of which are also listed by Divinol Romania.

Applications

  • Divinol Getriebeöl STO 80W-90 can be deployed in driving axles of trucks with with maximum oil drain intervals.

Performance & benefits

  • Divinol Getriebeöl STO 80W-90 is a transmission and hypoid gear oil with the most modern additive technology to be used in driving axles and synchronized or non-synchronized manual transmissions in commercial vehicles and working machines for oil change intervals up to 180.000 km. The benefits are as follows
  • excellent wear protection
  • high oxidation and thermal stability
  • good compatibility with common seal materials
  • stable viscosity at high temperatures
  • excellent flowability at low temperatures
  • allows for fuel savings

Standards & approvals

  • MIL-PRF-2105E

MIL-PRF-2105E — EP gear and axle oil

The revised issue of the US military EP gear oil specification, which added seal compatibility requirements. Superseded by SAE J2360.

  • MIL-L-2105 D

MIL-L-2105D — EP gear and axle oil

The US military specification for extreme-pressure gear oils, in practice equivalent to API GL-5. Superseded by MIL-PRF-2105E and then SAE J2360.

  • Scania STO 1:0

Scania STO 1:0 — transmission and axle oil

Scania's works standard for the oils in its own gearboxes and axles, with synchroniser and hypoid gear protection requirements.

  • MAN 341 Z2

    MAN 341 type Z2 — gearbox oil

Type Z2 of the MAN 341 list for manual gearbox oils.

  • MAN 342 M2

    MAN 342 type M2 — axle oil

Type M2 of the MAN 342 list, with tighter rear-axle thermal stability requirements than M1.

  • MB-Approval 235.0

    Mercedes-Benz approval 235.0

    A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).

  • MB-Approval 235.1

    Mercedes-Benz approval 235.1

    A Mercedes-Benz operating-fluid approval (BeVo sheet).

  • Arvin Meritor 0-76-N

    Meritor O-76-N — axle lubricant

The Meritor specification for axle lubricants in the O-76 series; the trailing letter gives the performance level and base oil, N being one of the synthetic extended-drain levels.
