Manufacturer's description

Eni Blasia FMP 320 is a high performance lubricant for gears working under the extreme pressure (EP) conditions found in the latest generation of industrial reduction gearboxes. Eni Blasia FMP 320 is recommended in particular for the circulation or splash lubrication of every type of enclosed gear operating under high mechanical loads, high speeds, high sliding friction and possible high operating temperatures. Eni Blasia FMP 320 is also recommended for lubricating other heavily loaded components such as couplings, screw drives, and plain and rolling bearings at low speeds. It can also be used in oil-spray lubrication systems.

Applications

  • Eni Blasia FMP 320 is an high performance lubricant for gears operating under extreme pressure (EP) conditions that are typically present in last generation industrial reducers. Eni Blasia FMP 320 is particularly recommended for circulation or splash lubrication of all types of enclosed gears, especially where operating conditions involve heavy loads, high speeds, high sliding friction and possibility of high operative temperatures. Eni Blasia FMP 320 is suitable to lubricate also other heavily-loaded parts and components such as couplings, transmission screws, low speed plain and rolling bearings as well as oil-mist lubrication systems.

Performance & benefits

  • Minimized deposits and sludge formation thanks to an exceptional thermo-oxidative resistance
  • Possibility to use at high operative temperatures (up to 120 °C)
  • Robust protection from wear (FZG 12th stage passed) and micropitting, notably
  • Non-corrosive behaviour against gaskets and seals as well as metals such as steel, cast iron, copper and bronze
  • Quick separation from water that could accidentally enter the system thanks to an outstanting demulsive capacity
  • Oil film continuity ensured by antifoam properties

Standards & approvals

  • AIST No.224

AIST 224 — EP gear oil for steel mills

The AIST (Association for Iron & Steel Technology) requirement for non-leaded EP gear oils in steel plant equipment, carried over from the former U.S. Steel 224 specification.

  • Fives Cincinnati P-59 level

Fives Cincinnati P-59 — ISO VG 320 gear oil

An approval number from the Fives Cincinnati list of fluids for use in its own machine tools. It covers extreme-pressure gear oils for machine tool drives.

  • Muller Weingarten DT 55 005 CLP

Müller Weingarten DT 55 005 — CLP gear oil

The works standard of press builder Müller Weingarten for CLP gear oils in its own equipment, with load-carrying requirements under shock loading.

  • Danieli Standard n. 0.000.001 - Rev.15

Danieli Standard 0.000.001 rev. 15 — general lubricant list

Danieli's general list of lubricants recommended for rolling mills and steel plant machinery, revision 15. It groups products by CLP/L-CKC class and ISO VG grade.

  • ISO 12925-1 CKD

Industrial gear lubricant CKD — ISO 12925

Class CKD of ISO 12925-1: a gear oil with the same additive package as CKC but greater thermal stability, for gear units running hot.

  • DIN 51517-3 CLP

Industrial gear oil CLP — DIN 51517, part 3

Part 3 of the German lubricating oil standard: class CLP, gear oils with extreme-pressure additives. It requires an FZG pass plus corrosion and ageing protection.

  • David Brown S1.53 101 level

David Brown S1.53.101 level — EP gear oil

David Brown's specification for extreme-pressure gear oils in open and enclosed drives under heavy and shock loading. It overlaps DIN 51517-3 CLP and U.S. Steel 224.

  • ANSI/AGMA 9005-F16

    ANSI/AGMA 9005-F16 (2016)

The current edition of the AGMA lubrication practice for enclosed industrial gear drives, replacing the 2002 E02 edition.

  • Siemens MD (Flender) Rev. 15 - level

Siemens MD (Flender) rev. 15 — gear unit oils

The Flender — now Siemens MD — list of oils approved for its own gear units, revision 15. It requires FZG load-carrying and micropitting passes.
