Shell Tellus S4 ME hydraulic fluids are intended to help users improve the efficiency of their hydraulic systems without compromising system protection or equipment maintenance procedures. Shell Tellus S4 ME has demonstrated improved energy efficiency across a wide range of applications, such as plastic injection moulding, metal pressing and mining conveyors. In addition, Shell Tellus S4 ME helps extend service intervals and lower maintenance costs by providing outstanding wear protection and a long oil life.

• Industrial hydraulic systemsSuitable for systems with high intensity of hydraulic power usage, such as plastic injection moulding and metal pressing, and where resistance and long oil life are required.
• Mobile hydraulic systemsShell Tellus S4 ME is suitable for use in certain mobile hydraulic power transmission systems and in marine applications, where it offers superior low-temperature fluidity compared with conventional ISO HM type fluids.
• Environmental impactShell Tellus S4 ME offers a reduced environmental impact in the event of leaks or accidental spillage compared with conventional zinc-based fluids, thanks to its ashless anti-wear technology and the low sulphur content of the base oil. • CompatibilityShell Tellus S4 ME fluids are suitable for use with most hydraulic pumps.
• Fluid compatibilityShell Tellus S4 ME is compatible with most other mineral hydraulic oils. However, hydraulic fluids must not be mixed with other types (for example fire-resistant or biodegradable fluids).
• Compatible with seal materials and paintsShell Tellus S4 ME fluids are compatible with the seal materials and paints normally specified for use with mineral oils.

  Parker Denison HF-0, HF-1 and HF-2

  The three Denison hydraulic fluid levels quoted together. An oil covering all three passes the vane pump and piston pump tests alike, including in the presence of water.

• Fives Cincinnati P-68 (ISO 32)

  Fives Cincinnati P-68 — ISO VG 32 hydraulic oil

  An approval number from the Fives Cincinnati list of fluids for use in its own machine tools. Approved hydraulic fluids must pass its own wear, filterability and water separation tests, beyond the DIN 51524-2 level.

  Bosch Rexroth's works standard for mineral hydraulic fluids in its own equipment: filterability, cleanliness and antiwear requirements beyond DIN 51524.

• ISO 32-68

  ISO 3448 — viscosity grades VG 32 to VG 68

  ISO 3448 viscosity grades rather than a performance norm: the number gives kinematic viscosity in mm²/s at 40 °C. The product is supplied in grades VG 32 through VG 68.

• ISO 11158 (fluide HM)

  Hydraulic oil, type H (fluide HM) — ISO 11158

  The international standard for mineral hydraulic fluids; class HM is the antiwear oil, the ISO counterpart of DIN 51524-2 HLP.
