Mobil Pyrotec HFD-U 46 and 68 are fire-resistant hydraulic fluids engineered to meet the requirements of DIN EN ISO 12922. Built on a fully synthetic ester base oil with environmentally friendly additives, they are readily biodegradable in accordance with DIN ISO 15380, offering high versatility for lubricating a broad range of industrial and off-highway equipment. Available in ISO VG 46 and 68 grades, these fluids are recommended for areas with increased fire risk — such as steel mills, metallurgical plants, and underground mining — as well as environmentally sensitive locations. Typical applications include hydraulic and oil circulation systems in continuous casters, blast furnaces, reheating furnaces, underground and open-pit mining, tunnelling, forestry equipment and construction equipment. The series offers excellent thermal and oxidation stability that supports system cleanliness, deposit reduction and long oil and filter life, along with outstanding anti-corrosion and anti-wear properties and a wide low-temperature operating range. Mobil Pyrotec HFD-U 46 holds FM Global Approval Standard 6930, and the series meets EU Ecolabel and Blue Angel environmental requirements.
