Manufacturer's description

Fully synthetic engine oil – Shell's most advanced formulation for high-performance engines. Shell Helix Ultra uses unique active cleansing technology to help high-performance engines operate at maximum efficiency, helping to protect them from deposits and wear. It is suitable even for the longest OEM-recommended drain intervals.

Applications

  • The fully synthetic Shell Helix Ultra delivers maximum protection in extreme climate and driving conditions. It can be used in modern gasoline, diesel (without particulate filters) and gas engines, and is also suitable for engines running on biodiesel and gasoline/ethanol blends.

Performance & benefits

  • Shell's latest active cleansing technologyHelps protect high-performance engines and control deposits.
  • Superior wear and corrosion protectionHelps extend engine life by protecting surfaces from wear and by neutralising combustion acids.
  • Active cleansingHelps remove the sludge left behind by inferior oils
  • Superior resistance to oil degradationHelps maintain protection throughout the drain interval
  • Formulated for low evaporationReduced oil consumption, for less frequent top-up
  • Exceptional low-temperature performanceRapid flow for faster engine warm-up
  • Approved by car manufacturersApproved for use by numerous makers of high-performance vehicles.
  • Long service lifeExceptional protection and cleansing, even at the longest drain intervals recommended by manufacturers.
  • Multi-fuel capabilityCan be used for gasoline, diesel and gas engines, and is also suitable for biodiesel and gasoline/ethanol blends. Compared with the API SN specification and based on Sequence IVA and Sequence VIII engine tests carried out at independent laboratories. Based on a severe sludge clean-up test. Compared with the API SN specification and based on Sequence III
