Mobil Delvac 1240 is a heavy-duty diesel engine oil formulated from high-performance base oils and a balanced additive system of ashless dispersants, metallic detergents and inhibitors that control oxidation, wear, corrosion and rust. It is used in a wide range of applications where an SAE 40 monograde lubricant is recommended, including 2-cycle diesel applications such as Detroit Diesel's Series 53, 71 and 92 two-cycle engines. ExxonMobil recommends the oil for diesel-powered equipment (including 2-cycle applications), on-highway light and heavy-duty trucking, and off-highway industries such as construction, mining, quarrying and agriculture. Key benefits include excellent oxidation and thermal stability that keeps engines clean and extends oil life, and good rust and corrosion prevention that supports long engine and component life.
