Mobil Delvac Ultra 5W-40 Ultimate Defense
Synthetic heavy-duty diesel engine oil for severe service, long-drain, ACEA E4/E7
SAE 5W-40
Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40 is an extra-high-performance, synthetic diesel engine oil that provides excellent lubrication, including long-drain capability, helping toward long engine life for diesel engines operating in severe applications. Its advanced technology delivers exceptional performance in both turbo-charged and older naturally aspirated engines, and it is fully compatible with conventional mineral oils. Recommended for a wide range of heavy-duty applications in trucking, mining, construction, agriculture and marine service, it suits super-high-performance diesel applications — both turbo-charged and naturally aspirated designs — including on-highway high-speed/high-load and short-haul pick-up/delivery operation, off-highway and marine engines in severe low-speed/heavy-load conditions, and diesel-powered equipment from European builders. Key benefits include excellent thermal and oxidation stability that controls low-temperature sludge and high-temperature varnish deposits; high TBN to help extend drain intervals with high-sulphur fuels; advanced formulation and viscometrics that maintain viscosity in severe, high-temperature service; excellent low-temperature pumpability for easier start-up; good corrosion resistance for long wear-surface life; and low volatility for good oil-consumption control. The product carries approvals from Mack (EO-N), MAN (M 3277, M 3377), MTU (Category 3), Renault Trucks (RLD-2), Volvo (VDS-3) and Cummins (CES 20076/20077/20078), is recommended for API CF-4/CG-4, and meets or exceeds API CH-4/CI-4/CI-4 PLUS, JASO DH-1, ACEA E4/E7, Caterpillar ECF-2 and Isuzu DEO (non-DPD vehicles). It is an SAE 5W-40 grade with viscosity index 174, TBN 14.5 mgKOH/g and pour point -48°C.
