Cat DEO T2 (Diesel Engine Oil) SAE 15W-40 is an API CH-4 diesel engine oil designed to support Cat Tier 2 and prior engines, giving these older engines the greatest value while helping them meet their performance expectations. It is recommended for Tier 2 and prior diesel engines (including those using high-sulfur fuels), for heavy-duty diesel engines from other manufacturers that call for API CH-4 and prior oils, and for automotive gasoline engines requiring API SJ oils. Typical characteristics include a flash point of 223°C, density 0.869 g/ml @ 15°C, pour point -33°C, kinematic viscosity 115.9 cSt at 40°C and 15.21 cSt at 100°C, viscosity index 137, sulfated ash 1.1% wt., TBN 8.5, zinc 0.132% wt. and phosphorous 0.115% wt. Cat DEO T2 can be used in engines requiring API CH-4/SJ, ACEA E3-96, China GB 11122-2006 CH-4/CF-4/CF and GB 11121-2006 SJ, Cummins CES 20076, Mack EO-M, MAN M 3275-1, MB 228.3, MTU Oil Category 2, and Volvo VDS-2.
