High-performance synthetic gas compressor oil. Shell Gas Compressor S4 PV has been specially developed as a versatile cylinder lubricant for reciprocating compressors handling a range of hydrocarbons and other gases. It is based on polyalkylene glycol fluids and is fully approved by the leading gas compressor manufacturers.

• Linde AG: approved for general gas compression service, including ammonia, vinyl chloride monomer and butadiene
• GreenField AG (Atlas Copco): approved for use in the trunk piston of gas compressors handling hydrocarbons, helium, argon, hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases
