Shell Corena S3 R is a premium, top-quality oil intended for the lubrication of rotary vane and screw air compressors. It uses an advanced additive system to deliver excellent protection and performance for compressors operating with maintenance intervals of up to 4,000 hours (where approved by the manufacturer)

Applications

• Rotary vane air compressors and screw compressors
• Shell Corena S3 R is suitable for single- or two-stage oil-flooded or oil-injected vane air compressors, or for screw compressors.

Performance & benefits

• Shell Corena S3 R is capable of delivering drain periods of up to 4,000 hours (where manufacturers permit this), even when the compressor operates at air discharge temperatures up to 100 0 C. It is formulated to help: resist the formation of carbon deposits in the vane slots of rotary vane compressors.
• Resists the formation of deposits on the rotating components of screw compressors.
• Resists thermal breakdown and deposit formation, to maintain excellent cleanliness of internal surfaces, particularly of oil/air separators and coalescer systems.
• The precise oil maintenance interval will depend on the quality of the intake air, the duty cycle and the ambient conditions. For the hot, humid climates of the Asia-Pacific regions, a reduced oil drain period of under 4,000 hours is recommended (consult the OEM recommendations).
