Mobil Vactra Slideway lubricants are high-quality products specifically designed for lubricating linear motion guides, ball screws and slideways on high-precision machine tools and metal-processing machines. Formulated from high-quality base stocks and an advanced additive system, they deliver controlled frictional properties for high-precision machining, compatibility with aqueous metalworking fluids, and corrosion protection of parts and equipment. Their unique additive package gives excellent frictional characteristics across steel-on-steel and steel-on-polymer way materials, reducing stick-slip and chatter for smooth, uniform motion. Available in ISO VG 68 and 220 grades, Mobil Vactra Slideway is recommended for horizontal slideways on small-to-medium precision machine tools, circulating application in larger machines, moderate-duty hydraulic use, and lubrication of ball screws, linear guides, headstocks and translating screws. Its adhesiveness resists coolant wash-away, while outstanding separability from aqueous coolants helps extend coolant life and machine precision. The series carries Fives Cincinnati P-47 and P-50 recommendations and meets China GB 11118.1-2011 L-HG, DIN 51502:1990-08 CGLP, and ISO 6743-13 L-GA/L-GB classifications, and has been tested for compatibility with the Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series.

Applications

• Mobil™ Vactra Slideway are recommended for the lubrication of machine tool slideway systems. They are designed for use with combinations of cast iron, steel and non-metallic way materials. Mobil™ Vactra Slideway may be applied by hand, forced-feed lubricator or in flood application by circulation system. • Recommended for horizontal slideways on small to medium size machine tools in high precision applications. It is also suitable for circulating application in large machines and as a moderate duty hydraulic fluid. • Can be used for lubrication of ball screws, linear guides, headstocks, translating screws. • Recommended for applications where oil contamination of the aqueous coolants shortens coolant batch life.
