Prowax 900 is a wax product in the Prowax line that is a translucent soft solid at low temperatures and a clear liquid when molten. It is derived from petroleum via a carefully controlled refining process and is primarily comprised of a mixture of straight-chain normal paraffin and branched iso-paraffin hydrocarbons. ExxonMobil waxes are produced and controlled according to the ExxonMobil Product Quality Management System, EN ISO 9000 or equivalent standard. Prowax 900 is typically used, subject to applicable laws and regulations in each jurisdiction, for de-dusting applications such as roofing granules, roads, fertilizer, glass wool and textile treating, as well as in wax emulsions and wax blends. The product data sheet held in this folder lists a single typical property: a flash point (Cleveland Open Cup, ASTM D92) of at least 156°C.
