Shell Diala S4 ZX-IG is an electrical insulating oil from Shell that meets the IEC 60296 and ASTM D3487 Type II performance requirements for high oxidation stability and low sulphur content. In addition, it has been designed to meet the gas absorption challenges presented by specialist equipment manufacturers, such as high-voltage transformers and bushings. It offers an extended oil life and has zero sulphur content. Shell Diala S4 ZX-IG is manufactured from zero-sulphur base oils produced using Shell's GTL (gas-to-liquid) technology. These base oils offer a high degree of compositional consistency and have excellent antioxidant response. In addition, they are available globally and are free from PCBs, DBDS and passivators, containing only DBPC as an antioxidant and a low level of aromatic hydrocarbons (for gas absorption). Shell Diala S4 ZX-IG passes both the established and the new industry copper corrosion tests.
