Manufacturer's description

Eni Tilia SX 68 is a food grade, high performance hydraulic and multipurpose fluid developed to meet the stringent requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries. It is recommended for lubricating hydraulic systems, plain and rolling bearings, conveyors and small gearboxes. Its excellent thermal stability makes Eni Tilia SX 68 suitable for lubricating machines and components working in low-temperature environments (refrigerators, freezers, the frozen food industry) or at high temperatures (sterilisation systems, bottling plants, bakeries and pastry works). Eni Tilia SX 68 is based on synthetic oil (PAO) with antiwear, anticorrosive and antioxidant additives. It is formulated exclusively with additives listed in FDA group 21 CFR 178.3570 and is free of genetically modified materials, animal derived materials, and the main allergens such as nut oils, soya oils and dairy industry derivatives.

Applications

  • Eni Tilia SX 68 is a “food grade” high performance hydraulic and multipurpose fluid developed to meet the stringent requirements of food and pharmaceutical industries. It is recommended for the lubrication of hydraulic systems, plain or rolling bearings, conveyors and small gearboxes. The excellent thermal stability makes Eni Tilia SX 68 suitable for the lubrication of machines and components operating in environments at low temperatures (refrigerators, freezer, frozen food industry) or at high temperatures (sterilization systems, bottling industries, bread and pastry industries). Eni Tilia SX 68 is based on synthetic oil (PAO) and antiwear, anticorrosive and antioxidant additives. It is formulated exclusively with additives listed in the FDA Group 21 CFR 178.3570 and it is free of: genetically modified materials, animal derived materials, main allergens substances like nut oils, soya oils and dairy industry derivatives.

Performance & benefits

  • Meets the requirements of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) System thanks to NSF H1 (incidental contact with food) registration
  • Ensures long drain intervals thanks to outstanding thermal-oxidative stability
  • Ensures effective protection and efficiency of all moving parts of hydraulic circuits thanks to robust antiwear additive system
  • Prolongs lubricated component life thanks to excellent antirust and anticorrosion properties
  • Compatible with the elastomers normally used in food machinery lubrication systems
  • Suitable for applications operating in a wide range temperature thanks to very high viscosity index and outstanding cold behaviour

Standards & approvals

  • ISO 11158 HV

Hydraulic oil, type H HV — ISO 11158

Class HV of ISO 11158: an antiwear hydraulic oil with a high viscosity index, for systems exposed to wide temperature swings.

  • DIN 51524-3 HVLP

Hydraulic oil HVLP — DIN 51524, part 3

Part 3 of the German hydraulic fluid standard: HVLP oils, with the same additive package as HLP but a high viscosity index, for systems working across a wide temperature range.
