eni OPL 5 is a low-viscosity mineral cutting oil, free of chlorine and aromatics, formulated with specific additives for lapping, honing and grinding to the latest technologies.
Applications
- Eni OPL 5 is a mineral cutting oil specially developed for lapping and honing of ferrous metals and aluminium alloys. The product can be used mixed with micronized abrasive powder based on carbides.
Performance & benefits
- Free of chemically active additives, it does not stain the worked metals
- It keeps easily in suspension the abrasive powders used for lapping operations; the decanted powders are easily suspended with simple mechanical agitation
- Low tendency to form fumes and mists during processing, it does not give rise to unpleasant smells
- Low tendency to form foam
