Manufacturer's description
PETRONAS Disrol CI-4 15W-40 is designed to provide outstanding performance in the most severe service marine applications of modern high-speed diesel engines, such as Caterpillar 3500 Series and smaller bore engines, Cummins, Volvo, Daihatsu, Yanmar and others. The oil reduces deposits in piston cooling spaces and the crankcase, maintains piston cooling efficiency and keeps crankcase and circulation systems clean. It protects bearings against corrosion, offers improved rust protection, and provides excellent water tolerance and separation for reliable operation in marine conditions. Disrol CI-4 15W-40 meets API CI-4/CH-4/CG-4/CF-4 and is referenced against MAN 3275, ACEA E7, MTU Type 2, Cat ECF-2, Deutz DQC-III, MB 228.3, DDC 93K215, Cummins CES 20078/77/76 and Volvo VDS-3. Typical properties include a kinematic viscosity of 105 cSt at 40°C and 14.5 cSt at 100°C, viscosity index 130, density 0.88 kg/L at 15°C, TBN 11 mg KOH/g, flash point 200°C and pour point -21°C.
