Manufacturer's description

Divinol Multi-Axle 80W-90 (Art. No. 52100) is a multigrade hypoid gear oil for heavy-duty conditions, designed for use in final drives without differential lock. Alongside its excellent EP properties, its optimised viscosity adjustment minimises friction. The result is very good corrosion protection, good viscosity-temperature behaviour, optimum load-carrying capacity and top anti-wear performance, together with good resistance to ageing and minimised running noise. The product is also suitable for longer oil-change intervals. It is intended for hypoid transmissions to API GL-5 where SAE 80W-90 is required – for example Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles with HL6 axles (MB-Approval 235.20), MAN 342 M3 and Scania STO 1:0 applications. Divinol Multi-Axle 80W-90 meets API GL-5 (MT-1), MIL-PRF-2105E and SAE J2360. It holds the manufacturer approvals MB-Approval 235.20, MAN 342 Typ M3, MAN 341 Typ GA1, Scania STO 1:0 and ZF TE-ML 05A/12L/12M/16B/17B/19B/21A (ZF001684), and covers the performance requirements of Arvin Meritor Axles 076-D, DAF, Mack GO-J and ZF TE-ML 07A/12E/16C/16D/19C.

Applications

  • Suitable for use in hypoid transmissions according to API GL-5, where SAE 80W90 is required.

Performance & benefits

  • Multgrade hypoid gear oil for heavy duty conditions. Divinol Multi-Axle 80W90 can be deployed in final drives without differential. In addition to excellent EP properties Divinol Multi-Axle 80W90 minimizes friction through optimum viscosity adjustment. Divinol Multi-Axle 80W90 is suitable for use in e.g. Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles with HL6-axis (MB-Approval 235.20) and MAN 342 M3 as well as Scania STO 1:0. Benefits
  • Very good corrosion protection
  • good viscosity-temperature behavior
  • optimum load carrying capacity
  • top anti-wear properties
  • good resistance to aging
  • background noise is minimized
  • also suitable for longer oil change intervals

Standards & approvals

  • SAE J2360

SAE J2360 — registered EP axle oil

The standard that took over the MIL-PRF-2105E military specification. Unlike API GL-5 it requires product registration and axle rig testing, which makes it the harder level to hold.

  • MIL-PRF-2105E

MIL-PRF-2105E — EP gear and axle oil

The revised issue of the US military EP gear oil specification, which added seal compatibility requirements. Superseded by SAE J2360.

  • MAN 342 Typ M3

MAN 342 type M3 — synthetic axle oil

Type M3 of the MAN 342 list: synthetic axle oils with extended drain intervals.

  • Scania STO 1:0

Scania STO 1:0 — transmission and axle oil

Scania's works standard for the oils in its own gearboxes and axles, with synchroniser and hypoid gear protection requirements.
