Manufacturer's description
Divinol Bremsflüssigkeit DOT 4 is a high-quality synthetic brake fluid made especially for brake systems with drum and/or disc brakes for which a DOT 4 fluid is required. It is ideal for all hydraulic car brake and clutch systems, with the exception of systems designed to operate with mineral oil. The fluid offers good ageing stability, does not affect sealing materials and keeps corrosion to a minimum. Its high wet boiling point (above 155 °C, with a reflux boiling point above 250 °C) maintains a safe safety margin against vapour lock even after the fluid has absorbed moisture in service. It is miscible with all brake fluids that comply with the same requirements. Divinol Bremsflüssigkeit DOT 4 meets FMVSS 116 DOT 4, SAE J 1704 and ISO 4925, as listed by Divinol Romania.
Applications
- Use in all hydraulic brake systems with drum and/or disk brakes for which synthetic brake fluids according to DOT 4 are required. Miscible with all brake fluids complying with the same requirements.

Standards & approvals
FMVSS 116 - DOT4
FMVSS 116 DOT 4 — brake fluid
The US federal safety regulation defining the DOT brake fluid levels. DOT 4 demands a high boiling point both dry and after the fluid has taken up water.
SAE J 1704
SAE J1704 — DOT 4 brake fluid
The SAE standard for DOT 4 brake fluids, with a higher boiling point than DOT 3, particularly once the fluid has taken up water.
