GM DEXRON TASA — automatic transmission fluid
A marking used for fluids built to the DEXRON level but without a live GM licence — a technical alternative declared by the oil maker rather than approved by GM.
JASO 1-A — automatic transmission fluid
The Japanese standard for automatic transmission fluids, the local alternative to the DEXRON and MERCON levels, defined by wet-clutch friction characteristics.
