Cat Synthetic GO SAE 75W-140 is a synthetic gear oil for specified Cat direct-drive transmissions, differentials, final drives and sealed-and-lubricated track joints. It is a full-synthetic, multi-viscosity API GL-5 classification multipurpose gear oil used for sealed-and-lubricated track pins and equalizer bar ends on Track-Type Tractors and Loaders, differentials and final drives on Wheel-Tractor Scrapers, Wheel and Mini Excavators and certain Backhoe Loaders, specific Articulated Trucks (per the OMM), Motor Grader circle drives, Cold Planer direct-drive transmissions/differentials/final drives, drum bearings on Vibratory Soil Compactors, and speed reducers on augers and elevators. Tested and approved by Caterpillar to meet the same standards as Genuine Cat Parts, Cat Synthetic GO is used as standard factory-fill for Cat machines. It provides maximum gear and bearing life against scoring and pitting, extends track life by improving galling resistance and reducing seal wear and bushing end grooving in sealed-and-lubricated track joints, offers the widest temperature range of the Cat GO family (-30°C to +45°C / -22°F to +113°F, versus -20°C to +40°C for Cat GO 80W-90 and -10°C to +50°C for Cat GO 85W-140), gives excellent oxidation resistance that reduces harmful deposit buildup, and offers powerful extreme-pressure protection. Cat Synthetic GO does not meet the Cat TO-4 or Cat FD-1 oil specifications and must not be used in compartments requiring TO-4 or FD-1 oil. Typical characteristics: SAE 75W-140, API GL-5/MT-1, API gravity 31.7, flash point 220°C (428°F), pour point -46°C (-51°F), channel point -45°C (-49°F) max, kinematic viscosity 185 cSt at 40°C and 25 cSt at 100°C, viscosity index 172, and phosphorus 0.141% wt.
