Eni Rotra MP DB 85W-90
EP gear oil for differentials transmitting very high torque
SAE 85W-90
AKROS GEAR EP 90 LS is a transmission oil with extreme-pressure (EP) characteristics for the gearboxes, final drives and differentials of tractors and farm machines. Its friction-modified formulation makes it suitable not only for conventional differentials but also for self-locking differentials fitted with limited-slip (LS) systems, where correct friction behaviour prevents chatter and wear of the clutch packs. The SAE 80W-90 grade delivers a typical viscosity of 14.7 cSt at 100 °C with a pour point of -36 °C, so the oil flows readily on cold mornings while keeping a robust film under the heavy, shock-loaded conditions found in agricultural drivelines. AKROS GEAR EP 90 LS meets the API GL-5 performance level, MIL-L-2105 D and the SDFG OP1705LS specification for SAME Deutz-Fahr Group machinery. Available from Dubhe Romania SRL in 20 L and 200 L packs.
SAE 80W-90 viscosity grade
A viscosity grade, not a performance level.
Gear oil, API GL-5 service level
API's service designation for axle and manual transmission oils.
MIL-L-2105D — EP gear and axle oil
The US military specification for extreme-pressure gear oils, in practice equivalent to API GL-5. Superseded by MIL-PRF-2105E and then SAE J2360.
