Manufacturer's description
PETRONAS Tutela SP is an extreme-pressure lithium grease specially developed for automotive applications. It is formulated with selected mineral base oils thickened with lithium 12-hydroxystearate soap and enhanced with advanced extreme-pressure, antioxidant, anti-rust and corrosion-inhibiting additives plus molybdenum disulphide. The result is excellent load-carrying capability, wear protection, very good mechanical stability and strong resistance to water wash-out. The grease is recommended for applications involving oscillating or limited relative motion where fretting corrosion is likely to occur, including chassis lubrication and grease-lubricated universal and CV joints. Its special additives allow it to withstand heavy shock loads without losing the lubricant film, while its high thermal and oxidation stability lets it operate at elevated temperatures without hardening or forming bearing deposits. It protects bearings and metal surfaces against rust and corrosion even when contaminated with water. The recommended operating temperature range is -30 °C to +120 °C (max. +130 °C). Typical properties: NLGI 2, grey colour, worked penetration 280 mm/10, dropping point 188 °C, four-ball weld load 250 kg, 1% molybdenum disulphide, base oil viscosity 200 cSt at 40 °C. Performance levels: DIN 51502 KPF2K-30, ISO 12924 L-XC(F)CIB2.
