PETRONAS Grease Li 2 is a premium quality industrial grease of NLGI 2 consistency, part of a range that also includes the stiffer NLGI 3 grade. This high-quality lithium-based non-extreme-pressure grease is formulated using medium-viscosity mineral oil and Lithium 12-hydroxystearate soap, fortified with additives to enhance oxidation stability, prevent rust and reduce wear, giving it high chemical stability, enhanced structural properties and good resistance to water washing. It is recommended for anti-friction bearings, including rotating outer race and vertical shaft configurations, and can also be used in plain bearings up to 3600 rpm, machine tools and a variety of marine applications. Its low starting torque characteristics make it an ideal grease for electric motor bearings, and its operating temperature range spans -30°C to +120°C (max +130°C). Benefits include reduced bearing leakage, long service life, multi-use convenience, excellent oxidation resistance, good anti-wear protection and effective rust and corrosion protection. Typical properties include a DIN 51502 K2K-30 classification, ISO 12924 XC(F)CHA2 classification, a dropping point of 194°C and base oil viscosity of 120 cSt at 40°C.

Applications

• Their low starting torque characteristics make them ideal greases for electric motor bearings. The stiffer NLGI 3 grease is mainly recommended for applications where maximum protection against penetration of water or solid contaminants is required. Petronas Grease Li 2 and Li 3 operating temperature range is from -30°C to +120°C Max +130°C.
