Mobilgrease Special is a high-performance, extreme-pressure lithium hydroxystearate grease (NLGI 2) formulated to protect against wear, rust and corrosion, water washout and high-temperature oxidation. It contains added molybdenum disulphide (moly) for extra wear protection, making it particularly well suited to heavily loaded bearings subject to fretting, oscillating or sliding motion. As a multi-purpose, heavy-duty grease, Mobilgrease Special is designed for passenger cars, trucks, farm tractors, contractor, construction, mining and mobile equipment, with a recommended operating temperature range of -20°C to 130°C. Typical applications include wheel bearings — especially under fretting, oscillating or sliding conditions — and chassis components operating under severe service. The grease offers reduced wear under heavy or shock loading and vibration, extra rust and corrosion protection to cut maintenance and downtime, good resistance to water washout, and good pumpability in centralised lubrication systems. It meets DIN 51825: 2004-06 KPF2K-20 requirements.
