Mobilgear EP Series is a family of industrial extreme pressure gear lubricants formulated with high quality mineral oils that help reduce sludge formation and increase oil service life. An additive system delivers high load-carrying ability, protection against wear and corrosion, and good water-handling properties, making the range suitable wherever industrial gear oils are specified — in either splash or circulating systems, and under constant or shock loading. Key benefits include extreme pressure wear protection for gears and bearings, good resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation that extends lubricant life and lowers lubrication costs, resistance to sludge and deposit formation for a cleaner system with less maintenance, and good demulsibility and corrosion protection that eases water separation and protects equipment in humid conditions. The range is suitable for a wide variety of industrial spur, helical, bevel and steel-on-steel worm gearing, including drives for conveyors, agitators, dryers, fans, mixers, presses, pulpers, pumps, screens, extruders and oil well pumps. Offered in ISO VG 150, 220, 320 and 460 grades, Mobilgear EP Series meets DIN 51517-3:2018-09 and ISO L-CKC (ISO 12925-1:2024) requirements across the range, with viscosity index of 95, copper strip corrosion rating of 1B, and flash points between 242°C and 262°C depending on grade.
