Shell Hydraulic S1 M 46 is an anti-wear hydraulic fluid that delivers cost-effective, optimum protection and performance in most industrial and mobile applications
Applications
Industrial hydraulic systemsSuitable for a wide range of hydraulic applications found in industrial environments
Shell Hydraulic S1 fluids can be used in mobile power transmission applications such as excavators and cranes. Operation under moderate duty cycles, except in environments with wide temperature variations. For special and demanding applications, the Shell Tellus product range offers superior system performance where fluid stress is high and ultra-fine filtration and control valves are used.
DIN 51524 type HLP Part 2For the full list of approvals and recommendations, please consult your Shell representatives. Compatibility and miscibility
CompatibilityShell Hydraulic M fluids are compatible with most types of hydraulic pump. Before use in hydraulic pumps containing silver-plated components, your Shell representatives should be consulted.
Fluid compatibilityShell Hydraulic S1 M fluids are compatible with most mineral oil based hydraulic fluids. However, hydraulic fluids must not be mixed with other fluid types (e.g. environmentally acceptable or fire-resistant fluids).
Compatibility with seal materials and paintsShell Hydraulic S1 M fluids are compatible with the seal materials and paints normally specified for use with mineral oils.
Mobile hydraulic power transmission systems: Shell Hydraulic S1 fluids can be used in mobile power transmission applications such as excavators and cranes. Hydraulic S1 M 46
