Manufacturer's description

Divinol Asphalt MP (Art-Nr. 27430) is a water-miscible bitumen release agent on a synthetic basis. It is odourless and easily biodegradable according to OECD test 301 C. The product was developed especially for stone mastic asphalt with polymer-modified bitumen (PmB) and for open-pore, low-noise asphalt (OPA), but it is equally suitable for common binder courses and asphalts as well as for asphalt mixing plants. Divinol Asphalt MP leaves no residues or stains on concrete or asphalt and does not attack the asphalt itself. Because the loading area of dumpers stays free of oily residues, it also contributes to load safety. For low-noise asphalt the product is used as a concentrate; for polymer-modified asphalt it can be used neat or diluted 1:1 with water, and for common asphalts diluted with water up to 1:3, always mixing thoroughly. Users should start with the maximum concentration and dilute step by step as long as the separating effect is retained. The concentrate is frost-resistant. It must only be mixed with clean water, never with diesel. No OEM approvals are listed; the only certification referenced is the OECD 301 C biodegradability test.

Applications

  • Divinol Asphalt MP has especially been developed for stone mastic asphalt (polymer modified asphalt - PmB) as well as for open-pore asphalt (OPA - low noise asphalt). The product is also suitable for common binder courses and asphalts as well as for asphalt mixing units. Divinol Asphalt MP does not leave any residues/stains on concrete and asphalt and does not attack asphalt. Additionally the product offers a load safety for dumpers as the loading area stays free from oily residues. At first use, please prepare Divinol Asphalt MP with the below-mentioned maximum concentration. A further dilution can be carried out step by step, as long as the product retains its separating property. **Preparation of the emulsion.** Low noise asphalt : Use as a concentrate. Polymer modified asphalt : Use as a concentrate or diluted with water (ratio 1:1) depending on the area of application (e. g. rollers). Mix thoroughly when diluting. Common binder courses and asphalts : Use as a concentrate or diluted with water (up to a mixing ratio of 1:3) depending on the area of application. Mix thoroughly when diluting.
