Constant switching between the internal combustion engine and the electric power unit places greater stress on a hybrid car's engine: frequent stopping and starting increases friction and heat generation, leading to higher fuel consumption and emissions, increased wear and risk of engine failure. Syntium Hybrid 0W-16 is a dedicated lubricant for petrol-electric hybrid vehicles, formulated to protect against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in turbocharged direct-injection petrol engines, and meets the latest API SQ specification.
